Hello

My name is Ashley Nicole, I design and create fun and unique crochet items for all occasions.  I've always created things since I can remember, even had a few garbage bag fashion shows as a child. My mind was constantly making new things or improving upon existing things.  I've used a ton of different mediums, but I haven't always known how to crochet....  

The year was 2008, I had just seen the movie Elizabethtown (yes three years after its release) and I became obsessed with the iconic 'red hat' that Kirsten Dunst's character wore in the film. I began hunting for a similar one and when nothing met my expectations I muttered those 4 dirty little words every maker does at some point in their lives, "I can make that". Thus began my journey into crochet and the world of extraordinarily endless possibilities. I started by watching Youtube videos, reading blogs, buying crochet magazines...once I conquered the basics it started to flow out of me like a second language I wasn't aware I had learned.  I started my former shop and social medias as 'Hustle and Sew' because I was still sewing aprons at the time, but yarn took over and so began my passion for crochet and my new handle HUSTLE AND HOOK.
